when using my z zero plate i find alot of pressure is placed on the plate before the z zero is activated.
this shows up more when using v bits.
is there some way of making the z zero routine more sensitive.
thanks paul

Paul,
I use 1/8" v-bits all the time and have not experienced what you describe. Are you using too high of a feed rate? I use 5 ipm.

It is not the sensitivity of the plate but the Speed and accelleration rate that you are using for the Z. The faster yoou feed and the slower the accelleration rate is the MORE over travel you will see.
Just a thought(;-) TP
