I was wondering if it was possible to set up the computer so that as it boots it goes straight to the Mach screen.

Yes, just click on your normal desktop shortcut and hold the mouse button down then drag to the Start button then all programmes then Startup then into the startup flyout and drop it there. Next start of the cmputer and Mach will start automatically
