start points??
« on: June 06, 2012, 04:01:22 PM »
hi. im new on here. i have built a cnc router using rockcliff cnc router drawings.

the machine is all together and is cutting out my work. i draw all my work in cambam and then convert to g-codes (mach 3)
the work cuts out fine. however it always cuts the wood in the middle. how do i imput the start point so the piece can be cut out nearer the edge where i want the cutting to start. so i dont waste to much wood?

any assistance or videos showing how to set this up would be appreciated.

thanks larry  :)

Larry,
In Cambam you can change the start point from  where you located the profile relative to the drawing origin.
Scroll down the properties listing and you will see START POINT. Also have a look at the Cambam Manual and their site videos.
