New license
« on: May 13, 2012, 03:59:56 AM »
Hi all, I have had Mack3 for a wile now and have just paid for my license and now I have no stepper motor movement, the software still shows movement, I had a look in Device Manager - ports , and found that there is a new Printer port  (LPT1) so “if” this is the problem how do I set it up? Before adding the license it was working fine.  ???

Adding the license file doesn't change anything at all. Mach3 just checks for it's presence when starting. If it's not there, it starts in demo mode. If it's there, it starts as a full version.

You must have changed something else.

Also, Mach3 didn't add you're new printer port in Device Manager, something else did.
It could be that this new port is using the address of the old port.
How many LPT ports do you have? It seems odd that a new port would be named LPT1. If you already had a port, it should have been named LPT1??

First thing I'd do is check the port address in Mach3. If that doesn't do it, I'd probably create a new profile and set it up from scratch.
