rapids are executed very slowly
« on: April 29, 2012, 09:00:38 PM »
I am having a problem with my G0 moves always running very slow. Whether the code is generated by lazy cam or input manually they always run real slow. If I edit the programs and change to G1 with a feed rate they work as they should. Is there a setting in configurations I am missing that is causing this ? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Do you have your rapid Feed Rate Override set to less than 100%?

I am not sure. Is there a place to do this other than the general feed rate override on the main Mach control screen ? I cannot find anything labeled rapid feed rate override. I did discover in trying to make sure I had main screen override set at 100 % and then running a program that initially the rapids will run at about 10, but if I stop the execution and then start it again it will jump up to 50 or 100 and then if I stop it and start again it goes back to about 10 ?

Brett, Thanks for your help. I finally found the rapid overide setting and it was limiting the the speed.
