Ok,
I just got my Non CNC machine working with mach3 doing the possitioning, and a cubloc handling the IO through modbus. Works like a champ!
Thanks

What is the cubloc having to do in your application? Are you using ladder or basic in the Cubloc?

Hey Wayne,
Well the cubloc is acting as a slave Modbus PLC. Im sending through modbus commands to it by mach 3, so I have all my inputs and outputs connected to the cubloc, and I just have Mach monitor everything.

Well,
apparently the guys over at cubloc are in the process of inplementing a new comand for advanced stepper motor control. I beleive its going to take care of motion profiling.
Ill keep you guys posted.

I plan on using a Cubloc 405 to control the turret on my CHNC lathe. I am not a programmer and do not know much about the internal working of Mach. I was hoping someone could get me pointed in the right direction. What I would like to do is have Mach tell the Cubloc what tool position it wants, then the Cubloc would turn the turret to the correct position and tell Mach it is ready. I think I can program the Cubloc, but I don's know how to have Mach tell the Cubloc what tool number and how to have the Cubloc tell mach it is there.
Thanks in advanced.
