I will be storing some metal working machinery in an unheated dirt floor shed. Good roof though.
Do you know of a product (or procedure) that that can be sprayed or brushed on to preserve the machined surfaces ?
Like cosmoline ? ? or whatever it's called.
Oil or smeared on grease is sort of temporary per my past experience. Dramatic temp changes here, and high humidity produces a lot of sweat on metal.
Need something really gummy, don't care how hard it is to get off later, but don't want to paint it with epoxy either lol.

I know a fellow who stored an engine block in an old dirt floor shed for 20+ years. He coated it with never-seize (or similar), and it worked like a charm. I'm sure there are better solutions, but that's the first thing that pops into my head.

Might try one of the aerosol cans.
Also got info from a gunsmith friend to melt parafin and mix in RIG (Rust Inhibiting Grease) then brush on while warm.
