Get rid of BobCAD. ;)

Sounds like you need to change the resolution to the native resolution of the monitor, or at least a widescreen mode.
Right click on the desktop, and choose properties, then settings, and change the resolution.

What resolution is Windows set to, and what is the monitors resolution? If you're using onboard graphics, you may need to add a video card that supports the proper resolution.

well i finally got to get back to my problem after takeing care of some personal problems on the home front. come to find out that the monitor that i got for christmas is not suitable for cad design thus the term wide screen. i did find the hidden buttons for the menu and went through the menu to find the full and wide setting and all is good.i dont have the full screen view but it is larger than the old monitor and i can view it as a normal drawing. so just a big thankyou to ger21 for your response. didnt know you were so close to me. i'm in brooklyn, mi. jackson county. thanks again, tom
