Got the one from your last post and it generates the code perfectly! Didn't change a thing and it worked so it must be that alpha version. I'll try running it on the lathe when I get to school this morning and post my results.

Looks promising- Thanks!

That's great Jim !
Hope all is well now, will check back later today to see.
Might be the wrong version with LC on that downloads page ? ? RICH, can you verify ? ?

Russ

Just a last shout out- I want to thank you gentlemen for all the help. It was definitely the alpha version issue. Ran 5 different nosecone shapes and a complex chess pawn without a single error today. Parts turn so nice on a dowel rod that they don't even need sanding! ( i will give some of that credit to my nicely ground and honed tool :-)

All I have needed to do is delete a few lines at the start of each path dealing with tools and insert a few lines of my own. Pretty simple.
Now I'm looking at Mach3 as a possible upgrade to my old DOS microturn 2.12 driver software.

Thanks again!

Jim

 :)

That's great news Jim !
Always anxious to see pics of LT produced turnings, yours sound really nice.
Please post some if you can.

Also, you can enter whatever you like in the Code Prolog box before generating the code, might save some editing.

Thanks,
Russ

Russ,
I'll see what can be done so a user can download what is required for a stand alone installation of LazyTurn.
I am not sure what additional files are required and after downloading the latest LC  & LT version I had to copy  a dll file into the directory to get LT to work.

Should be no problem if one installs Mach3.
