Thanks, Hood!
I'll give the G04 a try this evening and let you know.

FYI - The lathe is set up in a gang tool method with interchangeable tool blocks holding 5 tools each. Tools 1 and 2 are constants and have their own permanent positions on each end of the cross slide. Axis A is the parting blade and is on an independent slide. M08 activates the motor for tool 2 which is a side drill and M07 activates an air cylinder that carries the part extraction chute.

Ah that explains it, was wondering how you changed tools without stopping or having a turret :)

If you attach your tool table, you will find it in the macro folder for the profile you use, its called tools3.dat, I will test your code out and see if I get the same issue. Oh you will lkely have to rename  the file to something else before you can attach to the forum.

Well, Hood it appears your suspicion of the spindle not being up to speed was correct, at least on my lathe. I added a g04 right after the t1717 line to allow the spindle time to accelerate to stated RPM and the feed rate was correct. I then reduced the accel time by 1 second in the VFD, increased the accel delay time .5 second on the Spindle tab of Ports and Pins, and removed the g04 from the program - all is good! Now I have to get the braking resistor installed on the VFD to get the spindle decel time down and I think this one will be optimized!

I'll try to attached the files from my brother's lathe if you want to look at them. We will try the same tests next time I'm there.

Thanks for all the help so far everyone!

OK, I hope the files are in this .zip file! (If the forum will let me attach it) :)

Those are the files from my brother's lathe.

I fully understand your position, Hood!  ;)
