Hi all
I need some direction on getting the spindle speed to display on Mach. I have a single pulse per revolution from my spindle and don't have any idea where to land it ( under ports and pins i find nothing as an input for spindle speed ) I have available pins, I have set up the spindle, just don't know what to pick (input 1, timing, dro ) thank you in advance ???

Hi Mike did my spindle speed indicator with help from Hood. Have a look at my topic http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,17016.0.html. It was for a single Hall sensor on my triac spindle, it was connected to my BOB powered by a 5v supply also on my BOB. Hope this helps. as you can see I aint very good at electronics but finally did it with lots of help from HOOD (machforum member) Jim

Thank you Jim
I found  what i was looking for ;D
found a available input pin
matched that up with ports and pins for "INDEX"
(index is where RPM gets its pulse)
and presto i have 100 to 19,000 RPM's displayed
hint: then info is under lathe spindel
