Resetting home x and y after big crash.
« on: October 21, 2011, 02:30:29 PM »
I left my CNC running while doing some v-carving of text.  When I came back it was jammed in the back corner and digging into my tabletop big time.  I’m not sure what happened to make it cut almost 1 ½ “ deeper than it should have been cutting… shame on me for not watching it.   I can jog it fine but it thinks machine zero is out in the middle part of the cutting area.  Even though I re-zeroed the machine settings to the corner it still shows the bit location in the middle of my cutting area.  How do I get it reset?

Thanks!

Jim Williams

Yes... regenerating doesn't change a thing... it still thinks the bit is in right field.

Could you be using a different offset from whats in the code?

If you attach your xml and code I will have a look.

False alarm!  I had set the toolpath to run from the center which I rarely ever do.  Thanks for the quick responses!
