Kernel Speed
« on: October 20, 2011, 09:23:29 AM »
Good morning everybody.

With my old PC(650MHz) everything turned out fine. Now I use a second hand PC. with 2Ghz. After installing XP and Mach3 Version R3.042.040, my Kernelspeed is changing between 500 and 5000 Pulses(also without running Mach3). There is nothing else on the Computer. I changed the systembattery, changed XP for optimal speed, changed the alimentationblock, rams and grafic card. What can I do? Changing the PC(Motherboard or Processor)? If I restart the PC, Mach3 works fine for a few seconds(Pulse stabil on 25000). Help will be fine.

Greetings from Germany

Do you mean it is varying by 500 to 5000 pulses away from 25000?
What does the graph in the driver test look like?

What revision of Mach are you using? Have you tried the optimisation steps detailed on the downloads page?
