Pictures of my router can be seen at...

http://www.siouxvalley.net/~djastram/

I based it on the "HobbyCNC" design, but added height to the "Z" and added "Z" bushings. Oh and it's 6061 aluminum.

Good Job, nice looking work. ;) What kind of feeds and speeds are you getting?
;D If you could see the things I have in my head, you would be laughing too. ;D

My guard dog is not what you need to worry about!

wow that looks like a really nice machine.

I am new to the CNC machine world and have been considering building a machine similar in size. what motors and controllers are you using?

Thanks Jon.

I used KL8078 stepper drivers, and KL23H276-30-8B 282 in-oz. steppers from www.kelinginc.net
I used a parallel port interface card from www.cnc4pc.com
I used anti-backlash nuts from www.dumpstercnc.com on 1/2-10 ACME thread.

Thanks for the information it is greatly appreciated.

Do you have a bill of materials and plan details that you would be willing to share?
Is there anything you would do differently if you were to build another one?

Thanks
Jon
