5-Axis Kinematics.
« on: December 01, 2006, 01:02:06 AM »
Ok here it is. The Official start of my pain in the butt 5-axis begathon.

I would like Mach to do the math for tool length offset in a 5-axis machine.

Simple!  :D

I second that too,
What I would like more than that would be the proper aplication of kinematic formulas, so that axis moves are not made based on ends of moves but by the actual toolpath.

Hear! Hear!.. I'm w/ ya..   5 axis kinematic's is currently what is holding up my purchase of a decent 5 axis CAM. I haven't found one that does it for you [ so mach doesn't have to] and mach doesn't do it so right now.. mach is really just a 3/4 axis mill, the 4-5-6 axis is only usable either for a 4th rotating axis or to slave motor's, in reality it can't be used as a 5 axis control until this is provided, even if the hardware connected to it has the ability to run 6 motors..
