Swap your signals comeing out of the board. Not in ports and pins and see if the problem moves.

Well I got it to work. Not sure of the problem, but I tightened everything and resoldered a couple of connections. Didn't see anything wrong but it works now.  Funny, I was sure it was Mach. You know "when troubleshooting, what changed last?"
