Questions about hotkeys and keyboard assignments
« on: April 19, 2011, 08:39:09 PM »
Hi,
I would like to configure my machine so that I can use the keyboard for "RESET", also I would like to be able to keyboard position data into X,Y, and Z without having to first click on the fields of them as well.

I have opened the hotkeys config and it makes no sense to me, could someone help me with this please?

Thanks,
Scott Sutton

The default key for Reset is "`". (Above the tab key)

To set hotkey for DRO's (and to change default hotkeys for other buttons), you need to use a screen designer. That's where Hotkeys are set.
Config >Hotkeys is mainly for setting Jog keys.
You can use it to select DRO's. and toggle through them with the arrow keys, but I just tried it with mixed results.

Thanks!
Can you tell me about Screen designer? Does that come with Mach or is it an addon?

Bottom of the page there are 3.

I use Screen4, but a lot use Klaus' Machscreen. There's also the old Screen3.
