I dont think a driver would have any signficant affect on backlash, it is more likely your shuttle accel or maybe backlash speed that is the problem.

all my machine does is stop for a few seconds with backlash on
even with a silly amount of backlash is does not make any difference just stops for a few seconds

i will try shuttle accel / backlash speed but i`m sure i have done this before
any good stating points or is it just trial n error ??

I dont use Backlash so not sure the optimum but sounds like its your problem.
Rich has what he calls the 555 rule but he is funny that way with his rules ;D
Will see if I can find what he reckons.

well just convert any values Rich says in inch to mm and it should work out about the same.

GUYVER,
0.05M is not that bad for backlash. See if you can tweak your axis and maybe reduce it some.
I just replaced the screw mounting support bearings  in my machine and varying the bearing preload can make a difference.
If you don't have that option then I quess you have what you have.
PLay with 50 50 50 rule as the values seem to be a good starting guideline.
