Good day all
I’m very new here, so if you could assist it would be appreciated.
I have attached a dxf drawing which I wish to mill onto round pieces of aluminium. The dxf will be milled onto the end of the aluminium, not the curve.
The diameter of the outside circle on the dxf is 67mm (2.63”) approximately.
I was hoping someone could create a Gcode using the following.
I am using a Taig mill running Mach3
Rough cut : End mill 1.5mm (0.06”)
Finish cut : Ball end mill 1.0mm (0.04”)
Depth of finish cut would be 3mm (0.118”)
Depth of roughing cut ??
Motor Speed : ??
Feed rate : ??
I would like to pocket the bull and the waves out to a depth of 3mm.
I would like to pocket the space between the shield and the outer circle to a depth of 3mm.
I would like the mach3 to start in the center of the outer circle.
Locate the Taig mill in the center of the aluminium and 0.0.0 it there. Then press go.
I have tried using Bobcad cam and Lazycam but have got different results. Not that I’ve come close to milling it yet.
What would be the simplest program to do this in.
Thanking you all in advance and I apologise if this is a dumb question as this is my first post
Regards
Nivlek
