You say that SOME things work. I woulld look at the setup info in mach and write down the pins used for the things that work. That should leave a short list of avalable pins to use for the spindle relays.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

Hi Hood and BR549,
there is a taig specific .xml in the mach3 ftp download area, there is also on supplied by Lester caine and I am now going to test one supplied by taig themselves (microproto). If that does not work I will open up the control box and start working back from there with a view to understanding the pin and relay setup.. (wanted to avoid that if someone had already done it..)

cheers,
St.john

St, John,

Make sure you're downloading the correct xml as I believe there's quite a difference between xml's for the Taig 2000 and the Taig DSLS 3000 systems.

I'm not at all familiar with the 2000 system but it is not the same controller setup at all as the 3000 and with the 2000, I think you need some sort of "pulse- adapter" to run the 2000 with Mach 3. Don't quote me on that, but I'm remembering something to that effect  ;)

Hi,
I have this all functioning now. The enclose needed the 'run' switch to be set on then it all appears to work. I will play with it now and see how it performs.

many thanks,
St.john
