Wireless Network Not Connected
« on: October 23, 2006, 04:15:21 PM »
Hello All,
I have a D-Link wireless network between my dedicated machine control PC and my office PC. Almost anytime I have Mach up and try to do anything over the network I lose my connection. Any words of wisdom on how to fix this? Would I have better luck if I hardwired the network? :-\ The two PCs are only about 30 feet away from one another. I went wireless for the isolation in the event of lightning. :'(
;D If you could see the things I have in my head, you would be laughing too. ;D

My guard dog is not what you need to worry about!

Does it happen when Mach is up or when the Machine is running ?
It has to be interferance from something.
I just use "sneaker"net between my two PC's .
USB stick handles it well.

Yes, just when Mach is up. Not necessarily running. I'm also using a USB stick. What is sneaker net?

I told you guys how much I knew about computers. I know, I know. Sometimes I amaze myself. LOL  :D
It is bizzare. ( If that's spelled wrong, it's your fault. I copied yours. ;D) Hood was telling me that Mach takes almost complete control. I think he's right. I'm way too lazy for that sneaker net business. Excuse me while I hook up some cat. 5. ;D
