Cannot Jog After Reset
« on: April 06, 2010, 12:52:41 AM »
I am using a Romaxx CNC machine with Mach 3 and 2 parallel ports creating a closed system.  When I first start Mach 3 I am having a problem with the step jog not working even after reset.  I have found that if I hit the 'stop' button or 'Alt-S', then everything works fine from there on out.  It's almost as if Mach 3 thinks there is some G-code running and wants it stopped before continuing.  Strangely the continuous jog and MPG jog work OK all the time.  When the step jog quits working, it is also impossible to zero any axis until the reset button is hit followed by Alt-S or Stop.  Has anyone else had this experience, and if so what did you do to fix it.

Many Thanks!

Do you have any Brains or Macropump or Plugins running?

The problem still exists even when I deactivate all plugins, although the Flashscreen Plugin and Video plugin seem to automatically restart when the program is restarted.  I only have added a Rogers plugin for my Romaxx machine to create a closed loop system using LPT1 and LPT2.  There seem to be no brains of macropump activated.  I have tried reinstalling on a new machine with the same results.

Thanks for your help

Try disabling the Rogers plugin and see if it still happens.

Yes the problem still occurs after disabling the Rogers plugin
