sporatic motor movement
« on: April 01, 2010, 08:30:24 AM »
I was wondering if someone could help me. I am setting up a new mill for a friend and all of the axis will not jog, but when a project is loaded, it will sporaticlly move its axis's on some lines of code. The driver board, mill, and motors were all together working earlier. The only change is the computer it is running on. The PC is running XP. I am boggled. Please help as I am trying to get someone new into the sport of cnc, and now I look like the noobie. Thanks sooo much.Andy

Run the driver test and see what it looks like.

Check all your wiring is correct and there are no loose connections. If you have a scope have a look a the pulses as you jog.
