need cad/cam software advice
« on: February 28, 2010, 02:15:52 PM »
I bought a 2 axis emco desktop cnc lathe and need advice on what cad/cam programs to look at to use with mach3
I need something easy to use and inexpensive. I will be turning brass and copper to make bullets.
any suggestions where to look would be helpful. I have no experience at all with machining and am taking this up as a hobby for now
but may expand to production with a used hass in the future if I can learn how to do it
I did buy some basic books but they have not arrived in the mail yet

Have a look LazyTurn it's free and easy to use.
You may want to take a look at the documentation in Members Docs as there are manuals and a number of write-ups
there that should keep you occupied for some time.
