new guy with 3axis CNC driver & Mach3
« on: February 06, 2010, 03:32:13 AM »
hi,

using win XP 32bit  default parallel port Mach3 Mill.
here is the thing..when i press Reset button on  a mach3 it turns motors on (it can run on g-code, and move about), but my mill relay output does not turns on. port is the same as motors pin is correct (when i turn it with Ative Low it turns it on..)
i went to diagnostics bar and when i push Reset it turns on the outputs of motors but Output #1 does not work..
also input switches does not work at all (autoset does not see them..).

i wonder maybe i have to install some kind off extra driver or some like that cuz' i don't think that it's the problem with port or pin settings..

Driver board from ebay..

sorry for my english.
thank you all.

yes, it does not turns on when g-code is runing, but if i turn it on with "active low" in config -> port and pins settings -> output signals, then it turns on.. but i need it not to be turned on with active low..

where can i get xml?

Your xml is in C:\Mach3 folder. If you have used the standard Mach3 Mill profile then it will be called Mach3Mill.xml
You will need to rename it so that the forum will accept it when you attach, suggest you rename it kiloWATT.xml
To attach use the additional options button on the reply page.

Ok on Ports and Pins, Spindle Setup page you have the relays set to Output 2 for M3 and 1 for M4 However you dont have OutPut 2 enabled. I presume you only have one relay so change the box on Spindle Setup for M3 to OutPut 1.

thanks! it works perfect. :)

what about limit and home switches? they don't work for me at all...
just as i turn those limit, home and estop switches on in a Input signal bar, diagnostic bar shows that all of them are turned on, but they aren't even connected. active low is off..

If you have Normally open or dont have any switches connected then you will probably need Active Low chosen.
