Problem in a curve drawings
« on: October 20, 2009, 06:13:41 AM »
Dear all,

I have a CNC machine with two Siemens Stepper Motors connected by two STEPDRIVE to the parallel port of a PC..
I am using Mach3, and Sheetcam (for converting from Autocad to G-code)..

When i have a straight lines drawing with any orientation, the motors go perfectly, even when increases the feed rate (Frequency of pulses)..
But when a curve or a circle is wanted to be drawn, the motors get stuck if i increases the feed rate little more !!!
Is it the code???? or What??

Any help plz??

Regards,
BilalD

I am guessing that you have your motors set at the max velocity that they will go and they are both equal in steps per unit.
Lower your velocity to, say 70% of max, and see what happens.
