Help a Smoothstepper Noob - no outputs?
« on: September 15, 2009, 09:22:56 PM »
So, I have a SS and a couple of SoundLogic BOBs.  I'm getting inputs back correctly, all the way to Mach, but my outputs are not making it to the BOB.  The SS has a jumper for "5v to pin 26", but I don't know if that is required.

Any thoughts on what I have missed.

Hi,

How are you testing the outputs?

I haven't touched any jumpers on my SS and it works fine.

The jumper is if you power the SS from an external source. If you are using the USB to power it then leave the jumper in the default position.

Hood, different jumper.  There are jumpers right next to each of the 26pin connectors, but I've confirmed from Mr. Bob Campbell (who uses this board with the SS) that those do not need to be set.  I think the one you are talking about is right next to the power terminals.

It is most likely my own buffoonary.  I'll keep pecking at it.

Ah, got it!  In my foolhardy rush to make things move I fat-thumbed the charge pump as pin 1 instead of pin 17.
