G76 issue
« on: August 09, 2009, 01:14:25 PM »
I am using MACH3 turn and and I am having a problem with the G76 code.  I used the Wizard to thread a .25" end of a 2.16" tube.  I don't add Chamfer or taper but I get all sorts of odd paths while threading.  First an chamfered cut front to back, next a straight cut then a deeper angled cut ... until it gets to depth.  Then it does an reversed chamfer on the back end of the thread.  Is this normal?  Here is the Gcode:

G00 z2.1
G00 X1.1
M04 S400
M01
M08
G76 x1.0 z1.75 q1 P0.08333 H0.02 I29 C0.1
M9
M5
M30

Any help would be appreciated.

Does it do that if you just cut air?
Also if you want to attach your profiles xml file I will see if I can find a problem there.

Hood,

Here is the XML file.  Thanks for your help.  Sorry if you got multiple copies,  Yahoo keeps saying the reply is already sent.
