Having Problems Getting Mach3 to work
« on: July 06, 2009, 04:29:01 PM »
When i first got my router i tested with Mach3 on my personal desktop machine and it worked fine.
Now if i try to install Mach3 on a different computer it loads fine but it doesnt send a signal to my machine or something. No Movement, Nothing.
I try to jog around but my machine doesnt budge. I know it isnt my router cuz it works under other programs.
Any help or thoughts on the subject would be helpful. Thx.

Do the DROs move in Mach when you jog?
Have you got the correct port address asigned?
Do you have the correct ports and pins asigned for each axis and have them enabled?

I have the correct port address assigned and the ports and pins for each axis.
The DRO's dont move either i dont think, i'll double check though.

If the DROs are not moving when you jog then it sounds like you have the Jog control switched off, it should be lower middle of the main page if I recall correctly.

I checked and i didnt assign the pins to axis but after i corrected that situation then i still get the same result, NOTHING!
I went ahead and took my personal desktop out to the shop, hooked it up and powered it up and away my machine went.
I would still like to know why Mach3 wont work on any other of my computers. On the computer it does work on i have
an upgraded video card in it, 512mb i believe. Would the video be why it works on one and not the others?
What is this "Video Probing" that i have seen in the Forums?

Transfer the xml from the working computer to the other one and see if it then works.
