Xbox 360 controller USB cable
« on: June 04, 2009, 02:17:27 AM »
Hi,

I have a Xbox 360 wireless controller but unfortunately, I do not have the usb adaptor.

Looked on Ebay for this adaptor but it is very expensive, $60.00 + shipping to Canada.

Can a USB cable or any inexpensive device be connected between the controller and my computer since I don't want to invest $80.00 on an adaptor just to make some test.

I don't mind if this become a non wireless controller.

Thanks, Jeff

You might consider buying a wired controller.

I had problems with the wireless interferign with the machine electronics. Others have had no problems.

The entire genuine microsoft xbox 360 wired controller cost me 16 bucks on ebay . . brand new . . and it works fine in Mach . . . provided I use an old computer.

The wireless controllers are actually for my step-son's Xbox360, but I'll be happy to sell you my PC USB adapter if you want it . .

I just went to Microsoft site to download the driver for the xbox controller , in the drop down boxes when it asks for a operating system it shows no systems. Am i at the right site?
