Serial port pins not lit
« on: February 18, 2014, 07:51:07 AM »
Hi there everybody.

A long story short, In mach3 diagnostics I only have 5 port1 pins lighting up. I have tried every other port address i have and get different results so i am sure its the right address. I know my machine is all working correctly as i have swapped wires around to test the different motors and can jog them as required but i just dont have enough pins?

Is this a PC hardware problem or a software problem? does anybody know please.....close to throwing it in the river :)

Thank you in advance Jim

Ignore the current state LEDs, no one seems to know what they are actually representing.

Test with a scope or a voltmeter direct at the port on the problem pins and see if you are getting outputs.
