Hey All,
 I looked through all manuals that I could find and do not have a clear understanding of the MPG selections and their functions on the flyout.
A clearer description of the 4 pictured would be helpful.

Velocity basically means the faster you wind the faster it goes

Step/Velocity Not sure if it works properly or not, it didnt work great for me before but that was years ago. Anyway what it does or is supposed to do is you can set  (in MPG Config) a transition speed where it will go to step mode if below a certain winding speed or velocity mode above.

Step is it will step one increment per click of the MPG but you have to have a slight pause between clicks

MultiStep is similar to Step but you can wind continuously and it will continue to step at the increment you have set, just watch though if you wind too fast and have slowish accel then it may continue for a while after you have stopped winding.


Personally I only ever use Vel mode and MultiStep mode, most of the time its Vel but if I am touching off I get close in Vel mode then change to Multistep and sneak up the last few 0.01mm's. I use 2  physical buttons on my console to swap between Vel and MStep and also have buttons to swap axis.

Would be neat if the Step/Vel worked well...no need to toggle. I'll try it when I get set up.
 So do you ever change the "increment" ? Or do you just leave it at say  .0001 ?

I keep my increment to 0.01 but that is mm
I do have a button on the console that will toggle through the increments but I never use it so now have it configured to shut down Mach.
