Problem with the integration of thc300
« on: July 27, 2006, 10:59:31 PM »
I have the following setup:

Plasmacam to generate the G-code, and Mach3/THC300.

According to Campbell documentation when I run g-code it should wait for the arc OK signal before doing cut moves. But even if the plasma is switched off the g-code goes through without stopping.

The torch comes on when I press the torch on button and I see the arc OK as well as the up and down leds. When I run the g-code it cuts the part but the quality can be improved...

The down signal does lit up when the torch is cutting but there seems to be no compensation done by Mach3.

There must be something I haven't set properly do you have any idea what can cause that kind of behaviour?

Thanks in avance,
Stephan

It sounds like you have some THC settings that are not setup right :( You will need to contact them about the settings. I don't have one of there boards here to test with.

Thanks

Make sure you click on the THC ON button on Mach3 screen. With it off
it will run as if you are running a router. Another thing that  you could check
in Mach/config/mill options/THC options make sure all  is un-checked
