First try at a Screen
« on: March 09, 2009, 08:40:13 PM »
I am in the process of building a CNC router with a 54" x 120" cutting area. Due to a recent heart attack :( the build has come to a stand still. So while I am recovering I decided to try my hand at a screen streamlined to my setup. Being a woodworker I had to use a wood look. I still have more to do but here is what I have so far. Comments or suggestions welcome.

A little tip to make the DRO's look better. In Mach3's general config, uncheck the box that says "boxed DRO's and graphics". Bottom center in the screen control section.

Hi Sam,

Like you, I am a long time sufferer :)... Had a very serious stroke about six years ago and only have the left hand side of the body working, I have been playing with screen4 and a graphics program too and I'm having fun. Mine looks bare bones compared with your's.

Just wanted to thank ger21 because I had the DRO's thing as well :)

I like it. What program have you used to generate the graphics?

Brett and Crocky   thanks for the compliments.

Ron   I used Real-DRAW for all the graphics.

Hi Sam, looking really good. I envy your work.
Mind to update your screenshot after using Gerry's tip for un-checking the "Boxed" feature ?
Thanks,
RC
