It all depends where the operator stands in relation to the machine as most post processors compile the Gcode with the X Axis 'side to side' and the Y Axis 'front to back' (in relation to the operator).

My table is 36" long and 17" wide. When making signs, is most g-code written with X and the long axis or in my case the 36" length?
