Hi,
my understanding is that Mach3 development/bug fix has ceased. I think the version your using is the latest 'stable' version,
I've been using the same version for several years. Have dipped my toes in Mach4 waters...

Yes, and the latest "stable" version is known to be far from stable.
First thing I'd try is go back to 3.043.062.

I put a 4.7kOhm resistor from the pin to a 5V source and that took care of the problem thank you very much.
