Mazak 20/40A

Hello everyone,

I recently aquired a Mazak VQC 20/40A.  The machine sat outside for a while, so I am almost positive the electronics are shot.  I sent off the DC servo motor for the X axis and nothing was wrong with it.  At this point I am trying to locate some manuals and get it retrofitted to a MACH3 control.  I thought I would stop by to show my newest toy and meet some people that have gone through this.

I wish you luck with the manuals, someone else I know tried to get manuals from Mazak for a similar machine and they wanted £700 and there was, if I recall, a 6 month wait period if he ordered.
I am not sure where in the world you are so maybe the service is better than in the UK, have heard USA Mazak service is better for old machines but I have no experience of it, or in fact the UK service, just going by what I have been told.

Anyway I did get a loan of  VQC 30/50 manuals from a neighbour and scanned them for the afore mentioned person, not sure how close they were to the 20/40 but you are welcome to them if you draw a blank on the proper ones.
