adding parallel ports

Im adding a variable speed spindle to my mill and in order to do this I have to add a second parallel port to my computer. I have heard a few horror stories about parallel ports that only put out 0-3 volts instead of 0-5 volt signals. can anyone recommend a specific parallel card that will work best with Mach

It is kinda a crap shoot, but Lava Soft puts out some PP cards (and give specs), I think Rogers Machine sells one that does a for sure 5v as well.
