I'm trying to setup spindle rpm on Mach3 turn. I have a mini Lathe that I converted over to CNC. The spindle speed is manually controlled for now. I want be able to see what the spindle RPM is in Mach3 so I have a proximity sensor setup with a magnet on the spindle so Mach3 knows where the spindle is and how fast it is going. I have my index pin setup so it sees every time the magnet passes sensor and have verified thru the diagnostics page that the index pin lights up every time the magnet on the spindle passes the sensor. My issue is that the True RPM readout always displays the max rpm. When I perform an M3 or M4 or even just press the spindle button to tell Mach3 the spindle is on, the True RPM display reacts like a spindle is ramping up to speed but it's not getting the pulses from my sensor. Even with my sensor disconnected the True RPM readout is always at max RPM. Is this a glitch in Mach3...do I need to go to a previous version of Mach3? or is there a setting somewhere I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
