Setting Machine Coord's and Offsets

Can anybody provide information on setting machine coord's. I guess it needs to be set on the offset tab, but can't figure it out. Even if somebody can point me to a book or learning outlet it would be helpful.

For a book I would suggest CNC Programing by Peter Smid. There is a lot to be found in the Mach Manuals also.

Machine coordinates are zeroed when you home the machine. There is no other way to manipulate them.
Although you can specify the position when homing, if you want the home switch position to be something other than 0.
