OK, my new laptop doesn't have a 25 pin parallel port. Can I connect up to Mach2 using this machine? Send my command through the serial port? USB? My question is: How do I communicate through a computer with no paralle port? Thanks,

I want to go from a USB output to a DB9 connector. Should I assign the outputs on pins 1-9?

General Mach Discussion / How to get same results with different computer speeds

I want to get computers of different speeds to turn my stepper motors the same. I am running Mach2 and files that work fine on a 1.99GHZ computer have to be raclibrated for a computer of diffrent speed. Is there an easy way to compensate for different computer speeds?

Mach2 runs my motors perfectly and I would now like to operate some switches within the program. What is the easiest way to do this?
