MOTU,
Please send a copy of your Galildebug.txt file.
Thanks,

Signal transformer has lots of items that will do for you. signaltransformer dot com
They can make up any toroidal transformer that you need as well as having lots of other transformers in stock. Check out their MPI series too.

Shivu,
I have been working on this for a long time. It is just not ready now, nor will it be very soon. I need it myself, so I wish that it was working. You will need to come up with another solution for now.

Shivu,
Single point threading is NOT implemented on Mach3 lathe yet in the Galil plugin. I have been working on it for some time, but it's still not ready. I will post when it is working.
Thanks,

Galil / Re: dro error after movement

Steve,
I use rather small incremental moves for my MPG. Mine are set to .0001, .0005, .001, and .0025 in config>general config. You will find that they work much smoother when set that way. Glad to hear that you're getting up and running.

Galil / Re: Which Galil motion controller?
« on: January 07, 2011, 11:09:28 AM »
Steve,
The 5 axis control brings with it an additional 8 inputs and outputs, which I find very useful for things such as implementing an MPG pendant. You can have great success with either the Mitsubishi or Galil amplifiers. The Mitsubishi can handle far larger motors though. You can also use motors and drives from Automation Direct successfully.

Steve,
BN saves the tuning parameters, BV saves any variables that were defined, and BP saves any defined programs that are to be run exclusively on the Galil controller. You must have been working very late again.

You may have an interference between Mach3's slaving and the Plugin. Be sure that slaving is disabled. Also you will have trouble when using MPG functions which make use of the Galil gearing command. It is quits possibly the MPG that is overwriting your gearing command.

Rob,
The MPG movement is handled entirely within the Galil, so, it appears to be noise on your MPG encoder lines that cause the movement. Use Smartterm and check to see if the position changes in the data record. That will help rule out Mach and the plugin as causes. If the encoder is single ended, you may need to use a DS26C31 line driver to make things more noise resistent. Long cables are killers for the low voltage signals in a machine environment.

Version 4.4 of the plugin already strips out the VT commands when in LI mode. The earlier versions do not. Please update to the latest plugin when you can.
