Mach Screens / newbie question
« on: December 28, 2006, 09:56:45 PM »
I'm trying to learn Screen 4 and I have a question that I'm sure has a simple explanation. I want to put a "set tool offset" button on the main (program) page just like on the offset page (page 7). This is in the standard 1024 .set as supplied with Mach3.
I changed the settings for "Jog on off" to those of the button that I want, but get an error "error in line 1 - none". Then I copied the button from the offset page, but can't resize it to fit where the previous button was.
What can I do? There seem to be some differences in the button/image button settings, but I'm getting lost here
Thank you in advance

Mark

Well I got it to work. Not sure of the problem, but I tightened everything and resoldered a couple of connections. Didn't see anything wrong but it works now.  Funny, I was sure it was Mach. You know "when troubleshooting, what changed last?"
Anyhow thank all of you for all your patience and help!

Both of them are controlled by relays coming off the board(Hobby CNC).
I'll do some checking tonight when I get home.
The reason I have tunnel vision toward Mach is that it worked fine till I upgraded. But now thinking back, I did install Mach Blue screen at the same time. Since then I've uninstalledMach, removed the complete folder & purged the registry, so I don't think that should even enter into it.
Thanks for the continued help guys

The coolant solenoid (mist) does work. As soon as I hit RESET (on run screen) it starts hissing merrily away

Changing the active state in Output #2 doesn't change anything, changing it in Enable1 turns it on all the time unless in RESET.
The LEDS on run screen and diagnostic page all show as they should, thats whats so frustrating.
I swapped pins for coolant & spindle in config; coolant on turned on the spindle as it should but spindle on didn't turn on coolant

This is a spin-off of another thread.
I'm having problems getting my coolant to work again. The timeline:
Last Saturday everything worked well using V1.9.084. Monday I updated to V 2.012. The coolant no longer turns on with m08, CRTL-F or clicking on the coolant button on screen. The only time it will come on is related to the RESET button. Now it goes on only when in RESET; changing enable to actvie low turns coolant on unless in RESET. THe coolant command changes nothing except the related led which lights up correctly.
I'm using the supplied 1024 screen set.
Can anyone give me an idea about what could be going on? I've switched ports, settings, active hi/low etc. I'm at my wits end

I'm going to start a new thread. People might think it's only about the SB problem.

Yeah,
pretty sure theres a bug in SB.

to recap:
Was working last Saturday. Upgraded to latest version. Now coolant only comes on when in RESET even though LED shows coolant on & off properly Have changed enable, pin #, active hi/low etc. Just did a complete reinstall. Installed previous version(D1.9.084) in separate folder to see if things would work, it's picking up config from V2 so I I can't tell anything there

here are my config settings:

Chaoticone,
I just tried it and it did what you said. Wierd.

I did a complete uninstall including removal of all entries in the registry and all Mach files in my computer. Then I reinstalled V2.012. Coolant STILL doesn't work. I've tried changing everything in the config. I'm stumped.
Anyone got any ideas?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the reply Art,
The coolant does not work at all unless RESET is active, I tried active High & Low; no change.
I'm not using CV, would that matter?
No it won't repeat, never has, sometimes just takes off, actually i think it completes the circle when only a partial arc is programmed. Does this make sense?
