Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: External Jog speed ?
« on: August 23, 2007, 10:15:48 PM »
Sure did, thanks for the help
I ended up just using the Jog Y++ entry in ports and pins (and did not require anything else)
More over, it stopped jogging when the button was released the other one did not.

Let me know if you come up with anything on the variable resistor to set the speed.
One thought I had was to map the buttons Jog speed decrease and increase to inputs
Where can i find the code for those buttons.

I would rather have a variable resister, but I will take what I can get.

Thanks
Curtis

Can you hook up a pot to an analog input for variable jog speed? If so how?

Thanks

Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: Mapping digital inputs to jog
« on: August 22, 2007, 06:02:40 PM »
Ok, saw the joystick and dismissed the rest, Sorry

2 more questions
1  If I am using the Parallel port and OEM trigger 1 is set to pin 10 where do I hook up the other side of a 2 pole switch ? (Pin 10 and ? )

2 How do I reference digital input #1 in the OEM triggers, I know I hook the the switch to Digital Input #1 and Ground

Lastly what was the 3rd screen capture for, where is that and what is it used for ?

Thanks
Curtis-

I only need to jog 1 axis and I need to use a foot pedal, therefore I do not want to buy a Joystick and rip it apart if it can be done with a standard parallel port or with one of the digital inputs on my G-rex

Thanks

Mach3 and G-Rex / Axis not responding
« on: August 22, 2007, 09:09:52 AM »
I am having a real weird problem.
I switched from parallel port to grex and can not get my A axis to respond to gcode
My other axis are responding as should
I can the A axis to jog with no problem but when I run gcode it just passes right over it like it is not even there.
The same gcode worked just fine when I used the parallel port.

BTW, this is the latest version of everything, HELP

Thanks

Yes, joging with a push button. (external joging)
Can it be done with the Parallel port or serial  (I do not have a game port)

Thanks

Is there any way to jog one of the axis with a closed circuit.
If not what kind of input needs to be appiled to the input pins on the parrallel port.

Thanks
Curtis
