hi,
thanks for reply,

Whwn I tunded them without load, they worked perfectely, but tody when I mounted them on the mychine, I tried to move them  without any load, only the length of cable changed, I noticed that they are not ase before. I used not shielded cable for the encoders may this is the problem?

thanks

Hello every body,

I have nearly finished my machine cnc mill, but I have a problem with, I guess the encoders,

Motor:- KL34-180-90
Encoder:- Am 102 Digi-key 500 lines.
Power supply : 65 - 70 volt dc.
Gecko 320x
When I tisted all, motors etc.. with short cables , every thing was ok and motors run very fines. but, when I mounted them on the machine, every thing changed:-

motors do not accelerate very well, that means they take time to accelerate . times of responde is( very long)
and also when they stop, they do stop as before, they contiue to move 1 or 2 seconds.

enocder and motor have long cable, may be more than 5 meters for z and Y..

Could I have your help please?

Thanks a lot

Hello every body,

I have ordered a Huanyang VFD to control a spindle of 2.2 kw. Is it possible to make mach3 control its speed?
if yes, what is the best way and the easiest one to do so?

thanks in advance for your help

Hello,
You are right Hood, the problem was in the encoder as you said. So I only changed the DIP switch of the encoder, adjusted the current limit of gecko 320x at only 9 o'clock  and every thing is OK.. 3 runs to achieve 10mm , so it is correct now. and also the speed. now the motor turns so fast I guess more than 1500 rpm. so every thing is OK for now.

thank you so much Hood and all the other members of the forum.
thanks again

Hi,
I found some thing in the encoder that the DIP of the encoer were all of them at position 1, but in the pdf , manual of the encoder, 2 of them should be on  and the position off.
I will try it and let you know.

yes I will have a slave one.
but there is a very important thing that I discover right now... normally, I have a pulley of 20 teeth on the motor, 60 teeth pulley one the screw. so, normally, If I write Go X 10.0 , the motor should turn 3 times, and the screw one time in order to have 10 mm, machine moves 10 mm since I have a screw of 10 pitch.
but I found that the motor turns 3/4 turn, even not one turn when I write G0 X 10.0 . so there is some thing that does not work in the step per unit  I guess.
what do you think?
