General Mach Discussion / Engraving with mach3 ?

Hello,

I try to write in Arabic language in both Mach3 as well as Mastercam , but the letters are always separated in both of mach3 and mastercam... attached one image of mastercam that shows the separated letters, the other image is a Word document that shows the right word that (form) that the word should be..so I can write correctly in word but not in mastercam neither in mach3 itself..

could I have your help please?

General Mach Discussion / calculation for using Pulley

Hello,

I would like to use pulley in order to double the speed of my machine.

The small one is a 14 teethed pulley which attached to the transmission screw of 5mm pitch.
The bigger or wider pulley is fixed on the motor (pas à pas) 200 step per revolution.
And also I have Gecko drive that is rated to 10 micro step.

How could I calculate the steps units for motor tuning please?

General Mach Discussion / mach3 bahaves badly

hello,
 I have some problem when turning wood with my mach3..

I programme M piecework with maystercam design, sometimes I use circle to get some kind of shapes to make my piecework.. then I delete the half of the circle for example.etc... but the problem is mach3 sees always the circle but not as arcs, and once it cuts completely my piecework.

anybody know where the problem is?

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 does not go fast

Hi,

I tried the programme called scorpion that is attached with mach3 files, my mill machine 3 axes goes fast, I finish the file within 4 minutes.

But I tried to do very simple programme that was designed by mastercam x design, my mill goes too slowly, it moves nearly 3mm in 10 minutes.

Is there some thing wrong in my programme?

General Mach Discussion / Gecko 201 Dir pulse and step pluse?

Hello,

 I have a G201. I would like to know which number must I put in both Dir pulse, and step pulse?

I have put 0 in both cases, motor turns but i think the motors do not turn fast.

I use 24 volt, motors are 200 step.

General Mach Discussion / Spindle?

Hi ,
I am building my machine CNC, for milling, specially for wood. I would like to add another axes for turning the workpiece.

when I red the manual for configuring the Mach3 turn, I found that I need something called a Spindle that i ignore what it is.
This is spindle must be controlled by mach3 , etc..
question is, Should I have to buy a spindle? or a simple motor can do what spindle does? or could I use a stepper motor to replace the spindle which would be controlled by mach3? its speed, step an direction etc..?

General Mach Discussion / Problem with outputs

Hello,

I have a problem with the output 2 . I have a the output# 1 enabled , port# set to 1 and pin Number set to 1 too, the spindle work well.

But the output# 2 enabled , port# set to 1 and pin Number set to 14 ,nothing works..all is wired as in the output # 1, nothing changes but it does not work..
I use breakout board campbell.. and I use the same relay , but only one that works...

Did I  do something wrong? I have tried to do the same with output#3, but I had the same result...


Could I have your help?

General Mach Discussion / SoundLogic XML does not work

HI every body,

I have a problem when the first time I tried to use the Sound LogicXML folder with Mach3.

I Would like to use it in order to set the values of the homes switches. I guess they are not easy to do them.

When I use the Sound Loginc XML in Mach3 all the parameters (values) are set to 0.
Do I did something wrong?

I would like to know the function of disable in Gecko 201, Could I leave it alone and not connect it to any other wire?
What it is the advantage if I connect it (use it) and how could I use it?

is this mark # that means + ?
