Nice, Tweakie. Is it with that new program? When you say impact magnet do you mean using it with Art's plugin? A comparison with Art's plugin would be interesting.

Your earlier works using the plugin had much finer detail. I wonder how this new software would compare if you increased resolution.

Is this version with the faster update rate available somewhere? Has it ever been released to the public? Somehow, I believe I had it downloaded somewhere, but can't find. But I think at that time they mentioned 20Hz. Is it now 50Hz?

Hi Tweakie,

Thanks for the description. So it isn't as smooth as it is with the plugin. The axis has to stop and then the laser comes on and off and then it proceeds to the next point. Seems to be slower also.

It is the direction line of the B axis that you're using, right?

Is there any meaning for this in this Gcode:

T1
S8000 M3 f1500

Thanks for the info on the Estop, Hood. Does it work well on your other machines? I don't feel comfortable about merely cutting the power to the drives. They still have enough bus voltage to move a bit  I think. I cut power to motors and switch in braking resistors. Depending on the resistors values the motor stop pretty much instantaneously.

Sounds a quite capable lathe.
