Hi Hood,

Thanks for the video. Z axis tracking seems good, but it definitely stops at the end of each pass. However, I can't tell if it stops after the X pulls out or before.

Had a look at the Fanuc drives in the Bargain Basement section and looks they are Alpha series drives and it means they won't work with Mach3. They have some kind of proprietary control signals (not analogue nor pulse and direction) which is not documented well enough anywhere to figure what they are. Have these drives on a mill I bought thinking I could use them, but unfortunately I then discovered I couldn't :(

The secret with photo sensors' repeatability is their aperture size - the smaller the better.

Hi Hood,

Have you had a chance to test the threading yet? Really the only thing I am waiting on before I buy one. I will go with the analgue version though as I mentioned to you earlier.
