Will it be possible to use this function with a rotary axis instead of x or y and create a round 3d image of the scan? And can it be us with a video cam plugged to an av-input (composit) on a tv-card, or will that analog video make a poorer image than a digital web cam?

Scanned a penny today.  Haven't quite figured out what all the settings are in MachCloud so it might get better with so more messin'.  Scanned at 0.02mm step over 15mm in Y axis, took about 20 seconds.  There's only 0.003" between the highest and lowest features so resolution is pretty good.  Thanks Art!  great program.

Did you use a touch probe in the digitizing wizzard in Mach3? Which settings did you use? 20 seconds sounds very fast to me for that tight resolution.....

Do I need to convert something in machcloud before i save it as a stl file. When I save the files as stl, the files doesn´t show more than a few bytes.

when i tried to open an stl file in meshcam I got this error message:

ASCIISTL Parser Error: LINE 1:parse error endsolid MachCloud
Couldn't load files as ASCII STL.
Open failed.

What is wrong?

I understand what you mean, but I don´t think this will give a smooth surface and compensate for tool form and tool diameter.

I have problem with getting all letters and numbers on my mach3 screens. Some fields are shortened or cutted of. What can I do in order to fix it?
