HiCON Motion Controller / Re: 7766 and Gecko GR214V Feedback?

The I/O on the Integra is +24V PNP. You will need to convert the +5V to +24V to use those signals.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Spindle Not Turning Clockwise - Mach4 & HiCon

Hello,

The ViperXP machine is sold by CNC Factory. Although we have sold them the motion controller for the machine, we do not provide support directly for that product. We recommend you contact the tech support team at CNC Factory for support.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: torch controll manual operation
« on: September 21, 2018, 10:06:11 AM »
Hello,

We recommend you use the latest ArcPro screen for Mach4, available for download from the Vital Systems website.

If you want to turn on the torch and jog the machine using this screen you will need to disable the THC Mode. There is a button on the screen for THC Mode. The LED next to the button should not be on. Once you disable the THC Mode you can fire the torch using the M3 command in MDI and you can then jog the machine. If you would like, you can contact us via email or call our office directly. We can also help you by connecting to the machine remotely if you would prefer.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Torch hight controller
« on: September 18, 2018, 10:22:38 AM »
Jeff,

The THC slider sensitivity was fixed in a recent profile update. If you don't want torch height control you can turn off THC mode and use the M3/M5 scripts to turn on/off the plasma. It should also be possible to map the THC up/down to some inputs that will not receive any data. In other words, don't connect them to the THC, then the torch height motion won't happen while in THC mode. This will not work though if your material is uneven and it has to move up/down. The Proma THC150 works directly with the HiCON Integra controller to control the up/down motion of the Z axis height while in THC mode. Mach4 is not controlling the height.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: plasma screen questions

Jeff,

We updated the plugin with less sensitive slider. We did remove the Torch On button but you can turn torch on with M3. M5 will turn off the torch. We were able to turn on torch with M3 and jog the machine with no problems here. We are not seeing any issues with the torch up/down signals from the Proma 150. You can try setting the THC Max/Min input labels on the screen to values that allow a larger range of motion.

The digitize input should only be triggered during the initial probing process which turns the torch on and pierces the material at ignition height.  When digitize is detected during a cut, the controller will detect the signal and stop motion. We have not tested the THC feature with the specific hardware configuration you currently have installed. It may take some extra scripting in Mach4 to get that to work.

If you have the relay common wired to +24V then the relay output will source +24V.  Normally, the relay common is wired to the DAC which will output 0-10V depending on the speed settings of the spindle in Mach4.

Is the error showing in the VSI debug window or Mach4 history log?

The Integra has two analog inputs available for sensing analog 0-3.3V signal. This feature requires purchasing an activation code before you can use the inputs.

The value from the input voltage reading can be read in using the HiCON/VADC_0 or VADC_1 registers allowing you to write custom scripts around the signal in Mach4.

hmm.... most likely the accel and vel are still not correct in mach config.
